Reign of Terror

Slowly walking into the forest he notices a sign that read, "The Enchanted Forest, Evil stay out!!!" Elerwyn continued walking into the forest as he kicked over the sign and gave a little laugh about it. Although laughing about it one minute, suddenly the next minute he was feeling sick to his stomach and not laughing at all. It wasn't that he had eaten something, but just the site of happiness and joy spread all around the forest was somewhat repulsive to him. For Elerwyn could not stand happiness, or at least for others to be happy that is. He had a ruff past that was filled with sorrow and misery, so he felt everyone else should have to live the same way. He continued his journey through the forest, although now feeling nastalgic he made himself feel somewhat better as he slashed through unicorns and other little creatures that approached him with a smile.

As Elerwyn made his way through the forest he could see the figure of another person off in the distance, so he slowly made his way up to them and asked, "Who are you? What are you doing here?"

Someone please chime in...

"What am I doing here? A strange question coming from someone who just kicked down the sign pointing to this forest. I am Ark Heavensbane, I do what I want, when I want, and how I want. This forest has the tastiest unicorns in all the land and I want some meat." Ark shifts his gaze from the newcomer onto a beautiful baby unicorn, "And the young ones taste the best."

Making some quick gestures with his hands, Ark begins to whisper under his breath. As his words grow louder the air infront of him distorts and flowing shadows bend and twist about the area. Ark's unholy words burst forth, ripping through the infant unicorn, tearing muscle and breaking bone. The unicorn's cry is devoured by the words of evil.

Gathering together sticks and dry leaves, Ark builds a fire in the middle of the forest. He steps up to the unicorn's broken corpse and withdraws a blade so black that light can be seen falling into its edge. Three quick swipes produces a perfect slab of meat.

The smell of roasting flesh permeates throughout the Enchanted Forest...

Sophie walks from behind some trees, pulling out twigs and leaves from her brillant red hair. She take a deep breath, smelling the roasting flesh and shakes her head. "Ark, what are you doing? Killing more of those unicorns? Honestly, I don't see the need for...."She stops mid-sentence when her gaze falls upon Elerwyn. "Who is that? What is he doing here...." Sophie peers at him before speaking to him. "What do you want?"

What am I doing here? I think I should be asking you that young lady. Why are you walking from behind tree's? Have you been spying on us or is it just your thing to sit in the foilage with tree's surrounding you?

But nevermind that really, because quite frankly I don't care. I'm here for one thing and one thing only. To shead as much evil as I can around this place. To soak in the blood of the innocent as I slash through them one by one. And at the end of the day, if I feel I have not fulfilled my wish and brought enough terror to this place, I shall burn it down and watch every moment of it, as all it's inhabitants burn with it.

Hopefully, my pal Ark here will help me in this feat and also you might want to help as well? Elerwyn pauses for a second looking for a name and then speaks, "I'm sorry, what did you say your name was?"

"What I am doing here is none of your concern. The name is Sophie Sol'Vess, not that you really need to know it." She looks at Ark and shakes her head. "Are you gonna let this tadpole talk to me this way?" She glances toward Elerwyn for a moment. "Perhaps I will help in the enjoyment of watching as this once lovely place burns to ground and chaos running rampant, but I don't dirty my hands in carnage now a days. I seek to cause chaos in a different way."

Elerwyn looks toward Ark waiting for him to say something, and then continues to speak as he hears nothing but silence. Sophie is it? Well Sophie it is a pleasure to meet you, I am Elerwyn Selvoras, and I am not a tadpole in the least.

I suppose I really don't care why you are here at all, if it isn't for the simple task of reaking havoc upon these poor defenseless animals. Elerwyn looks at Sophie as she continues to get closer to Ark. You gesture towards Ark as if you know him, have you known him long?

Ark looks up from his meal, so rudely interrupted, and turns to face the two newcomers. "One who seeks to burn these trees to the ground, and one who beguiles others into burning it down for them. Such trouble." Ark rises to his feet, "Sophie Sol'Vess, First Commander of The Cabal . . . . Have you come to join the Souls of Insanity? " Runs his hands through Sophie's hair, "Lover."

"Elerwyn, such wanton chaos is wasted in my hunting grounds. But you do show promise. Prove yourself worthy to me and I will make sure your talents do not go to waste . . ."

Sophie blushes deeply and shakes her head. She talks in a hushed tone. "We both know that I can not do that. Let's not discuss this in front of him....I barely know him, and he might be a gossip. As much as I like scandals, I certainly do not need one about myself currently. And if Matoc to were to find out..."She glances down before smiling at Ark, the blush leaving her cheeks now.

"Now as for Elerwyn, well...he has potential, but he certainly has an undisciplined approach to chaos, if anyone can show him the proper way it certainly is you." She gives Ark a look of admiration.

"Well, that's a funny thought," a voice seems to come from the trees, "an elf and a halfling. Strange things the woods are telling me today." A massive bear-like humanoid slowly steps from the shadows of the forest, and with a matched set of axes on it's back this beast is quite intimidating, but once he is in the light his form begins to shrink and lose it's grizzly features leaving a drow in it's place.

"I'm Heos, and while your affairs amuse me they don't really interest me. What does interest me though is the Souls of Insanity, I wish to join and am willing to prove my self in any way."
